Home Energy Evaluations

You deserve a home that is comfortable year-round.  Many homes waste energy through air leakage, poor insulation, and inefficient HVAC equipment. Our Home Performance Energy Audits pinpoint specific problem-areas in your home, our focus is on a whole home approach.  We will identify energy efficient improvements that will increase comfort and save you money.  In addition to the money you’ll save from reduced energy use, you may be eligible for rebates to help offset the cost of the improvements.

Our Home Performance Energy Audits typically takes 2 - 3  hours.  Auditors perform several advanced diagnostic tests applicable to your home, which includes a whole home inspection, diagnostic tests such as a blower door test to determine air leakage, infra-red camera scans to assess insulation performance, health & safety items, and combustion safety tests to name a few.   The audit report will identify and prioritize efficiency opportunities in your home. Our Inspections Include:

• Exterior inspection

• Complete interior inspection from basement to attic

• Inspect insulation quality and measure depth(s)

• Conduct blower door test for building tightness and ASHRAE

• Combustion safety testing for all heating and combustion appliances

• Infrared scanning for insulation gaps and air sealing opportunities

• Confirm whole-house ventilation meets The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers  (ASHRAE) standards for healthy indoor air quality

• Final written report with photos documenting recommendations

• Inspection of measures completed and final testing
